Did some looking around for an air conditioner 

I didn’t want a window unit it had to be portable 

I found a few on Walmart that looked alright but almost all had bad reviews low rating

Ended up looking at best buy and found some with good ratings 

My budget was around 300-350

I found a 8,000 btu unit that can cool a 350 square foot room

It was 299 325 after tax

Told my mom to wake up at 9 and we’d get to best buy at 10 when they open

I woke up at 9 she didn’t get up until 10 but she drove over here then we got to best buy around 11

By the time we got it from the back and made it home it was 11:30

I had to be at work at 12 today

So I installed it quickly and got that done mostly didn’t use the tape that closes the window vent properly but I’m about to put it on

So I didn’t get to feel it for more than 5 mins

Anyways fast forward to 5 it’s 5:42 now

MY APARTMENT FEELS AWESOME ITS AMAZING LOL

5pm and my apartment is actually cool I even got a shiver a few mins ago

Gaaah this is so nice

I can actually enjoy my apartment now

I got an insignia 8000 btu portable air conditioner it works amazing

I didn’t know what I would need to do to actually cool my small apartment 

My living room/bedroom/kitchen is all one room and I have a bathroom

I walked to get a rough estimate on the size

It was about 15x15 foot to foot

I’m been using a box fan on max my ceiling fan on max counterclockwise and my split unit that is garbage lol set to 60-63 turbo set directly to where I am most of the day

None of that helped at all

I would sweat all day and night no matter the time I’d wake up to a drenched pillow and everything smelt like sweat it was disgusting 

I’m actually cool now !!!
